ジーン・フランシス・ロバートによる作品。 前面に綺麗に描かれた 鳥と若くて大きな水鳥、ココナッツとヤシの木、岩の間には様々な花が描かれている。 bay and mountain background landscapes, excellent gilt garlands around rim and on base of interlocking band with rocaille.17.5” tall, 6" dia.Condition － overall excellent, large flake on rim/outside edge (1.5"w/.5"h). 510- Possible bird examples - S. c. camelus, Red-necked Ostrich, North Africa and Glossy Ibis or Long billed curlew. I would appreciate any help in identification of the birds and foliage which seems to indicate Northern Africa species?? Possibly mountains, fauna and birds from Lake Victoria, Kenya, Africa. - Jean-Francois Robert(1778-1855), worked-Sevres(1806-1843), Baccarat and Saint Louis(1843-1855).- This vase is mate to one on display at Belmont, an exceptional historic Antebellum mansion on the campus of Belmont University, Nashville, TN.
