THIS IS A STUNNING VINTAGE 1940s MID-SIZE ROLEX PRECISION WRISTWATCH IN STAINLESS STEEL.
DESCRIPTION.
This is stunning example of the Rolex Precision made in 1946. With its fancy sculpted lugs it has real charm and elegance.
The stainless steel 31mm unisex case is in very good condition with very light age related marks. The case back outer still retails Rolex Crown logo and serial number. The stunning original dial has been professionally restored to the highest possible standard and looks simply gorgeous.
The dial has raised gold Arabic numerals arrow batons with gold dauphine hands. This is a wonderful example of a Rolex Precision in stainless steel.
The 15 rubies movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
To complete this fantastic piece, we've put it on a new high quality Hirsch strap.
CASE.
The stainless steel case with fancy sculpted is in very good condition The unisex mid-size size case measures 31mm across without the winding crown and 39mm long including the lugs. In its day it was sold as a gents size but now days the modern Rolex watches are so large it is more of a small mans or ladies size.
Inside the case back all the marks are correct as expected: Rolex ,Geneva Swiss, 4542.
DIAL.
The stunning original cream dial has been restored to the highest possible standard and simply looks gorgeous. It has raised gold Arabic numerals and arrow batons with gold dauphine hands. It oozes 1940s charm and elegance.
The dial is signed: Rolex, Precision, Swiss.
MOVEMENT.
The high grade 15 rubies movement is in very good condition and has been fully serviced. The movement is signed: Rolex, Swiss made, 15 Rubis.
STRAP.
To finish this beautiful watch off, it comes on a new, high quality Hirsch leather strap.
THE BOX & PAPERS.
Like most vintage wristwatches what are over 30 years old the original certificate and box has been lost or discarded over the years. But even though this watch does not have its original box or certificate. This watch, the reference numbers, markings, signatures and hallmarks are all correct, dating the watch to circa 1946.
