A EARLY VINTAGE 1914 WW1 GENTS BRITISH MILITARY ROLEX TRENCH SILVER LARGE 35mm

THIS IS A STUNNING ANTIQUE WW1 1914 GENTS BRITISH MILITARY ROLEX TRENCH OFFICERS WATCH IN SOLID SILVER.

 

 

DESCRIPTION.

 This is a beautiful WW1 Military Rolex wristwatch. This model of Rolex could have been sold to British military personnel during World War One  The condition of this Rolex for being over 100 years old is good with normal age related wear to the case but considering it could have been worn in the trenches its in very good condition. The stunning original black enamel dial oozes military style and charm. This example has the rare screw back and screw front case.

 

The wonderful Rolex 15 jewels movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker in the past 3 months.

To complete this fantastic piece, we've put it on a new good quality leather strap. 

 

CASE.

 

The screw down front/back solid silver case is in good condition for its ag but dose have normal age related wear. The full size gents case measures a large 35mm across without the winding crown.

Inside the case back all the marks are correct as expected: Dennison Watch Co (Case makers for Rolex around this time), A.L.D and fully hallmarked Birmingham for solid silver.

 

 

 

 

DIAL.

 

The original black enamel dial looks simply gorgeous. It has a luminous military numerals with military hands. This watch oozes that military style.

The dial is signed: Rolex.

 

 

MOVEMENT.

 

The high grade 15 Jewels movement is in very good condition and has been fully serviced. The movement is signed: Rolex,  Swiss Made, 15 Jewels.

THE BOX & PAPERS.

 

Like most vintage wristwatches what are over 70 years old the original certificate has been lost or discarded over the years. It dose however come in its original box. But even though this watch does not have its original certificate. This watch, the reference numbers, markings, signatures and hallmarks are all correct, dating the watch to circa 1914.
