Up for auction is a very fine Vacheron Constantin men's 18k white gold wristwatch from the 1930's.
The movement, signed Vacheron & Constantin, is manually wound, 17 jewel, and adjusted to temperature and 3 positions. Barrel bridge is engraved with serial number 410657 dating the watch to the early 1930's. Movement is in very good condition showing only light scuffs to the finish but no significant blemishes or damage. Winding and setting both function as they should. Watch runs well and keeps good time.
The silver painted dial, signed Vacheron & Constantin, is in good condition with a beautiful patina showing a few minor spots of discoloration as well as light scuffs and scratches. The white diamond style hands have a matching patina to the dial and compliment it well.
The 18k white gold rectangular case is in very good condition showing typical light scratches but overall little wear. The bezel snaps tightly to the case back as it should. Case measures 25.4mm x 37.8mm (lug to lug) excluding the crown. mineral glass crystal has a small chip to the lower right corner but is otherwise in good condition. Lugs measure approximately 19mm and take female end style spring bars. Attached to the watch is a vintage brown lizard grain strap that shows some light wear.
