By Louis Bandam
An Art Deco chandelier circa 1930 with four matte glass side shades mounted on an elaborately crafted nickel-painted brass and copper mount. The diameter of the shade is 15 cm.
Louis Bandam ran a large copper and wrought iron lighting factory in Paris during the interwar period. Many of his copper works are stunning room heights.
This chandelier is featured in Bandam's product catalog, published in 1932. The shade is unsigned, but some of this model is signed.
The autographed ones were created primarily for the Cherie workshop.
The unsigned type, like this Louis Bandam work, was made for workshops other than Cherie.
When you disassemble the chandelier, you can see the sign of Louis Bandam and the letters of VL.
