A beautiful French 1930s Art Deco style lamp with an embossed glass shade allegedly made by wrought iron and Jean Gauthier (EJG).
The iron is well forged and has a fine dark brown old rust in a subtle luster.
It has been replaced with a new cord, new plug and switch on the rayon cover.
The socket comes with an E14 for European use.
It is possible to change to an American socket and lid or plug for the United States, Canada, and Japan.

Jean Gauthier set up his first workshop on 12-14 Jean Street in Paris and later expanded to a factory in the town of Ezanville.
Immediately after World War I, in the early days of production, Gauthier created cameo shades with his own signature.
The Ezanville factory was founded to produce Art Deco style glassware made of molded pressed glass.
And many Art Deco model products are unsigned.
Some are signed by EJG (Etalissements Jean Gauthier).
Some have been signed as J. Robert, which is the pseudonym of J. Gauthier based on the street name of the first workshop.
In his thirties, Gauthier began making shades and cups made of milky white, semi-crystal glass.
In addition to unsigned products, some are signed as EZAN France (a sign taken from the name of the town where Gauthier's second factory was located).
