The bottle is 11 cm (4 1/2") tall, not counting the protruding part of th mechanism (with it, around 15 cm or 6"). The bottle is ovoid and it displays a frosted motif of grains ("graines", which Rlalique.com calls "olives") on the whole body (see photos). The signature under the bottle, in raised letters is R LALIQUE FRANCE (photos 9 and 10). The pump mechanism is the classic one used on most Lalique spray bottles, coming from Marcel Frank,. This one is with a squeeze pear.
There is no indications of which parfumeur the bottle was created for (If Marcilhac and RLalique.com cannot say, I certainly cannot), but the three brands for which Lalique created this type of bottles at the time (1920 to 1925) were Debans, D'Orsay and Molinard. None of them however, with a design of grains.
The condition of the bottle itself is excellent, with no break, chip or missing. The pump mechanism (always fragile and never supposed to work for decades if only because the rubber pear dries out), is out of order. To use the bottle again as an atomizer, it should be completely replaced. The present mechanism separates (as it should) from the main bottle (photos 6, 7, 8) but it snaps back in place for display and therefore constitutes a perfectly good collector's piece in excellent shape.
I have been a Lalique collector for for over 20 years. This is the very first time that I come across this bottle. That one does not see it often is an understatement.
