KPM Berlin Hand Painted Lady Portrait Pink & Gold Cup & Saucer Circa 1837-1844

Beautiful porcelain empire form cup and saucer. The cup is decorated with a very nicely hand painted portrait of a blue eyed brunette with a white bonnet and a cape in front of a grey stormy looking background framed in gold gilding. With a pink background with gold gilt floral scrollwork. Gold gilding along the edge and around the foot. The handle is gold with relief molded white beading down the center. The cup has the blue underglaze scepter mark used by KPM Berlin. The saucer has the blue underglaze scepter above KPM used by KPM Berlin between 1837 and 1844.

The cup measures approximately 4 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 4 1/2 inches tall.

The saucer measures approximately 6 inches wide.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
